Kid friendly labels

I love to have everything labeled. I know where things go when I can clearly read it, and so can the hubby, but what about the kids? Since well before my oldest could read, I learned that labeling in a kid friendly way was key. She was really into dress-ups at the time and they were taking over the closet. I got a plastic drawer system, and got pictures of the characters she would dress up as from the computer, print them out, and attach them to the
corresponding drawer.

Now my youngest is really into Zhu Zhu Pets, which have a bunch of bulky pieces, and other toys which have a bunch of tiny pieces. I am using the same drawer system that I used with my oldest's dress ups, and now have put on labels that show the words of the items enclosed (for those that can read), and a picture of the items enclosed, for those that can't.

Everyone in my family now knows where things go, and clean up time is MUCH easier!

Ok... next time you are in Virginia Beach, I have a PROJECT for you! My kids toy closet. It is last on my list, but is the most horrendous sight! SIGH!
